  • Summary Description

    Womersleyella setacea is a red filamentous alga. The erect branches are attached to the substrata by multicelluar rhizoids. Branch filaments can be up to 100 µm thick, and each cell contains numerous plastids that are slightly elongate in shape. Thalli of this species are able to form extensive mats.
