  • Summary Description

    Polycera capensis is an elongated sea slug with an elongate, smooth body up to 70 mm in length. The body is white with a thick black stripe along each side and down the middle of the back. There are yellow lines along the sides of the body and on the tail. 6 yellow elongate pointed appendages can be found on the front of the head. The rhinophores are club-shaped and coloured black with feathered white tips. There are 8-10 external black gills with yellow tips, two conspicuous branchial appendages are present on each side of the gills.
