    Caulerpa filiformis is a bright green macroalga with many strap-like fronds arising from creeping rhizomes with long smooth cylindrical rhizoids. Fronds are narrow, linear, 3-5 mm wide, dichotomously branched once or twice, with a cylindrical stipe and can reach up to 30cm in height.
